½ cup butter
2 ½ cups plain flour
½ cup sugar
pinch salt
1 egg
1 teaspoon bi-carb soda
1 cup treacle
2 teaspoons ground ginger
1 cup boiling water
Cream the butter and sugar.
Add the egg and beat well.
Add the treacle and beat again.
Sift the dry ingredients and add to the butter mixture.
Add boiling water and beat until smooth.
Bake in lamington tin for approximately 30 minutes at 170 degrees C. |
