½ oz butter
4 ozs self raising flour
2 ozs sugar
¼ teaspoon salt
1 egg
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
5 tablespoons milk
a sprinkle of cinnamon

Beat the egg and sugar.  Add melted butter and milk.
Sift flour, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon.  Add to the egg mixture.
Drop in heaped teaspoonful onto a hot greased pan.  Turn when the batter starts to bubble slightly or when the underside is light brown.
